Springtime came early for a suburb of Rome this year as hundreds of flowers seemed to have sprung-up overnight in the Nuovo Salario district. We admit that this year, winter’s end seemed like it would never come, but to go as far as simulating it for the opening of a new Virgin Active Fitness Village seemed like a tough call.
But nothing is impossible for the team at Hangloose who, playing on the concept of re-awaken your physique, plastered street lights, bus stops, bins and whatever else was within reach with flower shaped flyers that invited the residents of the neighbourhood to join the new, soon-to-be open club. The icing on the cake? The iconic 60′s and the hippy culture that gave the world flower power.
This power allowed us to spread peace and love (and a lot of red!) throughout the area. The creation the flower power band, a psychedelic 60′s inspired group, helped gather over 1000 followers on mySpace and recruit new brothers and sisters on Virgin Active Nuovo Salario’s Facebook profile.
