Well here we are, once again: on board, so to speak, but this time a little bit out of it. And you’d need to be out of it in order to launch yourself into something like this!
When we met Francesco, Nils, Jacopo, Guido and all the other characters of Surf in Italy and listened to their frustrations regarding the world of surf in the bel paese, we looked at each other and decided to make some waves.
Seeing as most so-called web portals dedicated to surfing stuck to the principal of “locals only” and had a serious lack of information sharing, we decided to create a website open to everyone which would nurture the sporting, cultural and artistic surf movement in Italy.
The staff of Surf in Italy is primarily made up of… well, surfers. But you’ll also find sculptors, musicians, photographers and other artists amongst their ranks. And this is exactly what you’ll find on www.surfinitaly.it, not just a simple Surf magazine but a giant pot containing a blend of various ingredients: videos, profiles of genuine made in Italy
riders, leisure, lifestyle, weather, music, art, interviews and much more.
So here we are ready for the big launch party, a collaboration with L-Ektrica, one of Rome’s most eclectic nights and a perfect compliment to Surf in Italy’s party style.
The photographers, filmmakers and sculptors present will help guide you through this new blender of Italian surf culture, proudly produced by Hangloose. And stay tuned… more surprises to suite all tastes soon to come.
17 November at AKAB, Via di Monte Testaccio 69 Rome, we’re expecting you!
