After being in the business for 20 years mental blowjobs are the order of the day. But does creativity make a difference? Do companies really need advertising? Twitter isn’t just a latest fad (yet to catch on in Italy unfortunately), it’s also a source of interesting titbits such as The Wicked Sick Project, the fruit of the creative department at George Patterson Y&R.
The experiment involved the guys buying a used BMX bike on eBay and then re-selling it through the same medium but with some added creativity to the product description. The captivating copy, plus a lot of viral word of mouth, led to the bike being sold for 5 times the original price, catching the attention of countless people around the world involved in the creative process. So much so that it was nominated at this year’s Cannes.
So the answer is Yes, a well made advertisement can make a difference! Your thoughts?
