It’s called augmented reality and this new technology allows you to overlay a virtual, computer-generated reality over the real-life reality perceived by the user.
We like innovation, especially when utilized well, such as BMW in this video, for a promotion of their new Mini Cabrio.
Well we couldn’t resist and started experimenting, developing a remake of the classic video game Breakout (the nostalgics among us will appreciate this!).
So give it a try. Follow the instructions below and happy gaming!
Instructions (webcam and Flash Player 9 required)
- Download and print this PDF file.
- Connect your webcam to your computer.
- When Flash asks for authorization to use your webcam click “Consent”.
- Position the printed sheet from Step 01 in front of your webcam and click on the video
- Use your keyboard’s directional arrow keys to control the paddle’s movement.
(Note. If the paddle does not move try clicking on the video with your mouse)
